Biography
Biography Prof. Dong-ik Kim is the Chief of Division of Vascular Surgery, Samsung Medical Center, South Korea. Earlier, he served as a President of Korean Society for Stem Cell Research and Vice- President of Society for Vascular Biomedical Engineering. He also worked as a professor of Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in South Korea. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of “International Journal of Stem Cells†and is present in the Editorial Board of seven other world-renowned journals. In the recent years, he has been researching on therapeutic angiogenesis using stem cells, tissue engineering of vascular prosthetic graft, pathogenesis of intimal hyperplasia, pathogenesis of Buerger's disease and pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. He published more than 170 international articles and 100 domestic articles. He also published 6 medical books as a Chief Editor.
